Konami punishes Malicious Players in PES 2012 Online!
Konami is taking some preventive measures for the online mode of Pro Evolution Soccer 2012, and has advised the malicious players, if you disconnect in the middle of matches because they are losing, they will be penalized in the long term.
According to the company, in a model very similar to other online games, PES 2012 each player has a reputation level, which encourages fair play. When a player leaves in the middle of a match that level of trust gradually decreases.
The automated system that finds matches for its opponents, will seek to put players with the same reputation level to play against each other. This means that players cheaters who disconnect during the game, eventually playing with other cheaters.
Players with very low reputation will also be banned from competitions. Konami believes this should be enough to provide a more enjoyable online experience for football fans.
Jon Murphy, head of the European team of Pro Evolution Soccer, commented: “Online is a key element in PES 2012 and we work hard to bring options to improve the competitive factor of the game.”
One small question : Sometimes game disconnects because of ISP (internet providers don’t give 100% uptime, provider issues, IP changes for dinamic IPs, bad weather etc) in the middle of the game, no matter if winning or lossing.
This happens without player beeing a cheater.
Will player still get banned ?

hi i have a question i have been banned from the competisions and i did not cheat it was my internet and now i cant play competisions so plz can you do something about it
It is bullshit… Maybe it works only on the paper! Coz i’ve been loosing reputation all the time, and never cheated, fair play all the time,
How long are you banned for?? Or is it indefinitely? Im very disappointed with being banned as I have never cheated and even when another player is cut off id lose percentage of game completion .

been playing this game for about a week and a half now, don’t think I want to anymore. this “feature” is complete BS, i’m being penalized when my opponent disconnects from the game when i’m ahead 4-0… wtf? do you people seriously think i’d stay your customer and buy your next products?
i don’t think konami know what they are doing because i never quit ever and am always been penalized even when am wining 6 nil the other player quit then i realized that i lost 3 nit that just make me destroyed my disc that i buy caused i just brake it in two pieces because is not 1 time it happen it happen every time and i hate it!!!!!!!
with 2011 the same thing was happening then i heard that they fix that problem then i buy the 2012 only to see it got even worse i can see my self buying 2013 now
I think that the online mode is bull. As you play along you’ll notice that something is not right. It doesn’t let you win as you get stronger in the competition. That’s why i’ll change to fair games made by other companies.
